Central America
Central America surprised me at every turn — from volcanic landscapes to colonial towns, Caribbean beaches to cloud forests. I've gathered all my posts from this incredible region to help you navigate its diversity with confidence.
Mexico
From ancient Maya ruins hidden in dense jungle to the real-deal chaos of border crossings into Belize and Guatemala, Mexico offered some of my most memorable Central American moments. These posts cover the archaeological wonders that left me speechless and the gritty, authentic side of overland travel through the region — practical insights, cultural depth, and plenty of stories from the road.
Belize
Squeezed between Mexico and Guatemala, this small country punches way above its weight. I trekked through dense jungle, explored caves that felt like portals to another world, and wandered uncrowded archaeological sites where you can actually feel the history without fighting through tour groups. Flip to the coast, and you've got Caribbean beaches with warm turquoise water, laid-back islands, and some of the richest marine life I've seen — perfect for diving, snorkeling, or just soaking it all in.
Guatemala
I was impressed by the variety of landscapes this country has to offer. Lush green jungle and warm climate in the north, colonial towns full of life with amazing volcanoes surrounding you, and deep blue lakes with breathtaking views. Wherever I was in Guatemala, I loved it!

Costa Rica
Costa Rica had been on my bucket list for years—if not decades. It’s definitely an expensive country, but if you’re ready to allocate the budget for the tours available in every region, you’ll discover some of the richest wildlife I’ve ever seen in my life. Everything is colorful, and everything is unforgettable.
